Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and the Aquarius team, who runs Aquarius. By creating an account or playing as a guest you agree to them and to the privacy policy.

Your account

• You are responsible for what happens on your account. Keep your password private, and keep your email address up to date: it is how you get back into the account if you forget the password. If you sign in with Google, Apple or Discord, keeping that account safe is part of keeping yours safe.
• Usernames must not be offensive, misleading or pretend to be someone else. We may change or remove a username that breaks these terms.
• Don't sell, buy or share accounts.

Community rules

• No bullying, harassment, threats or encouraging self-harm.
• No hate speech or slurs against anyone for who they are.
• No sexual content, and nothing that sexualises minors in any way.
• No spam, scams, advertising or links meant to trick people.
• Don't share anyone's personal information, including your own.
• No cheating: no bots, scripts, exploits or abusing bugs. Report bugs instead.
• Don't trade game items or accounts for real money or anything outside the game.

Reporting, blocking and moderation

A filter hides offensive words in names, comments and chat, but it can't catch everything. You can report a chat message, comment, aquarium or player from inside the game, and block any player so they can't chat with you, comment on your aquariums, follow you, send you gifts or trade with you. We review reports within 24 hours and remove content and suspend or ban accounts that break these rules.

Diamonds, coins and items

• Coins, diamonds, fish, decorations and other items are part of the game. They have no value outside it and can't be exchanged for real money. You get a licence to use them in the game; you don't own them.
• We may change prices, items and game rules to keep the game balanced.
• Diamonds and offers you buy are delivered right after payment. Purchases are final, except where the law or the store's refund rules say otherwise.
• Gifts and trades between players are your own choice. We don't restore items you gave away or traded.
• Items on a suspended or deleted account are lost.

Your content

You keep the rights to what you create, like aquarium names, descriptions and comments. You allow us to store it and show it to other players in the game. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

The game itself

We work to keep Aquarius running, but it is provided "as is": it may have bugs or downtime, and we may change, pause or end features or the whole game. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or lost game items. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.

Some of the keepers you meet in the community, and their aquariums, are run by Aquarius to keep the game lively. They don't accept trades.

Ending this agreement

You can stop playing and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
